Biotechnology companies, universities, and research institutions are driven by a constant need to push the frontiers of our understanding of life processes and their translation into therapeutic products aiming to improve our quality of life. In the first part of this course, students will learn how successful translational portfolio and programs involving a variety of organizations, constituting complementary discovery and development ecosystems, ultimately align to enable the development of therapeutic innovations. Students will also be introduced to the Learning Organization Model and its importance in the buildup and maintenance of long live and successful organizations. In the second part of the course, the crucial role of leadership and emotional intelligence, as it pertains to the Biotech/Life Science Project Manager’s set of skills, will be covered in detail.
