Emery began his UC San Diego career in 2006 serving as a Principle Analyst in the campus-wide budget office.

Most recently, he served as Chief Administrative Officer at UC San Diego’s Experiential Learning Cluster (ELC) and Management Services Officer.

In those roles, he and his team provided comprehensive operations support and oversight to four departments:  Academic Enrichment Programs, the International Center, the Career Services Center and the Office of Academic Support and Instructional Services (OASIS).

“I’m proud of Extension’s valuable role in providing additional educational opportunities for the community beyond the traditional campus setting,” said Emery. “We’re helping professionals to become more marketable in this highly competitive, ever-evolving workplace.”

A religious studies graduate of Gardner Webb University in North Carolina, Emery began his new position this week.
