Eugene Roytman started his career as a database engineer before moving to technology consulting and management. His career positions include DBA, database developer, database analyst, database architect and others. His consulting assignments include clients like World Bank and various U.S. airports. Roytman helped develop and manage BI solutions and cutting-edge database technology for various clients across multiple industries including retail, aviation, semiconductors, entertainment, hospitality, financial and many others. Before joining UC San Diego Extension as an instructor, Roytman was a director of database technologies at Syntricity where he led global database SaaS implementations and cloud operations. Roytman holds a BA in management of information systems from San Diego State University and an MBA from University of Arizona, Tucson.
