Jeff Beeler has been with the UC San Deigo OSHA Training Institute Education Center for over 15 years and is currently the director of construction industry curriculum as well as an instructor of many courses. He also serves as the director of training and education for UC San Diego's International Safety Education Institute, a workplace safety global outreach training program.
Beeler's career includes 32 years in the fire service, retiring as a Captain at the La Mesa Fire Department, owner/president of JB Safety Services, Inc. (a safety training and services company) for 9 years and presently is the director of safety and training for Capstone Fire Management. He is also on the board of directors for the World Safety Organization.
Past involvements include adjunct faculty for fire science at Miramar College, a hazardous materials instructor for the California Specialized Training Institute, rescue team manager for a FEMA Urban Search and Rescue team and various positions in the construction field.
Beeler is a certified Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) and a certified Environmental Safety & Health Trainer (CET) as well as being a Certified Safety Instructor Master Level (SCI-ML).
