This course covers introductory concepts that will be important to future studies. Topics include atomic and molecular structure, chemical bonding, basic reactions, stoichiometry, and states of matter. Problem-solving is an important part of this course. This course is designed for biology, premedical, prenursing, preclinical and prehealth students.

This course includes a hands on laboratory involving multi-day experiments that the student performs at home. Except for a few household items, all the materials are included in the lab kit that students must purchase from HOL Sciences.
