Featured Speaker: Professor Glen Brodowsky
Cal State San Marcos is a public university that
was founded in 1989 as a satellite campus of San
Diego State University. It became an independent
institution in 1990 and opened its permanent
campus in San Marcos in 1992. The university has
grown from 448 students and nine majors in 1990
to over 16,000 students and 62 majors in 2021.
The university offers bachelor’s, master’s, and
doctoral degrees, as well as teaching credentials and
certificates. Join Professor Glen Brodowsky, who
has been on the campus for 28 of its 34 years, for
a discussion of its history and trajectory as a truly
twenty-first-century university.
Presenter Biography
Glen Brodowsky earned his B.A. in
Far Eastern Languages and Civilizations from the
University of Chicago and his M.B.A. and Ph.D. in
Marketing from the State University of New York
at Buffalo. He has been a professor of marketing
since 1996 and is Chair of the Management
Department.
