This course elaborates on the principles covered in Typography I. Coursework will include styles, hierarchy, and layout. This project-based course will use design history context and core design principles to creatively solve typographic challenges. Students will use Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and traditional materials. Coursework will advance student communication, presentation, and storytelling of design work.
Note: Students must have Adobe Photoshop CC (Creative Cloud) installed on their computers. Adobe Creative Suite CS6 is also acceptable.

Kelly Bennett is an instructor and professional graphic designer. She teaches Adobe InDesign and Introduction to Adobe Creative Cloud for the Specialized Certificate in Communication Design , and Fundamentals of Graphic Design and Branding & Storytelling using Content Creation for the Professional Certificate in Content Marketing . She operates an online portfolio group that keeps students involved in local and national industry activities, such as the Addys. Bennett’s students took 3rd Place at the Regional NSAC Competition in Florida for two consecutive years, along with awards for Best Media Plan, Creative and Presentation.
