Python is rapidly becoming a favorite programming language for developing responsive websites, due in large part to the excellent availability of web frameworks. What are web frameworks? They are Python packages that provide a suite of tools built-in that allow rapid development and deployment of websites. In this course you will learn the way websites and web servers talk to each other to provide user interaction and database capabilities. We will cover the most popular of the web frameworks available, how to get started with them and the pros and cons involved with each one, including an overview of setting up a simple database. We will primarily concentrate on Flask, Django and Pyramid, although there are many others to choose from. At the end of this course, you will be able to choose a framework based on website requirements and know how to get started and where to find the resources for add-on packages and other enhancements.
