This intensive workshop spans two half-days and offers thorough training to help owners and operators of a construction site to fully understand the 2022 Construction General Permit (CGP). The course fee includes materials, instruction by CASQA certified Trainers of Record (ToRs), lunch, refreshments and a Certificate of Completion.


Day One: Construction General Permit Fundamentals, 8:30am - 2:30pm
 

Gain an understanding to the California Construction General Permit (CGP) 2002-0057-DWQ. Topics include:

  • Understanding the Permit: Covered Facilities, Risk Assessment, SWPPPs, and SMARTS
  • Legal Perspectives, Complexities, Liabilities and Common Pitfalls.
  • Regulator Perspective - Interpretation of the Permit and Upcoming Changes.
  • Regulatory Community Perspective

Day Two: Advanced Topics, 8:30am - 2:30pm
 

The advanced workshop is tailored to students who have attended the orientation seminar or who have a basic understanding of the CGP. Day 2 will focus on:

  • Recent Changes to the Permit
  • QSD / QSP Responsibilities
  • Qualifying Precipitation Events 
  • Visual Monitoring and Sampling Requirments 
  • Passive Treatment Technologies / Active Treatment Systems
  • Demolition Activities
  • TDML Requirements
  • Interactive Exercise
